Competitors will demonstrate their skill, precision, and artistry by completing a full-head retwist and styled finish within 60 minutes — using only LocN Styling GelJudging Criteria:
- 1. Neatness & Parting (25 pts) – Precision, cleanliness, and consistency of sections.
- 2. Technique & Execution (25 pts) – Proper retwist method, tension control, and professional product use.
- 3. Creativity & Style (20 pts) – Originality, artistry, and visual impact of final style.
- 4. Time Management (15 pts) – Ability to finish fully within the 60-minute timeframe.
- 5. Overall Presentation (15 pts) – Model’s complete look and final polish.
Rules:
- 60 minutes total.
- Model Requirement: Competitors must bring a live model with a full head of locs (minimum shoulder length).
- Allowed Products: LocN Styling Gel ONLY (no other gels, creams, sprays, or oils permitted).
- Tools: Competitors may bring their own clips, combs, dryers, and accessories (pins, wraps, beads, bands).
- Pre-Work: Models must arrive with freshly washed, natural locs. No pre-parting, pre-twisting, or partially styled work allowed.
- Finishing Styles: May include buns, twists, updos, or creative designs — but must start from a complete full-head retwist.
